QuickStart Guides for Self-Installation

As of February 2001, new manuals are available for self-installation of DSL hardware. The manuals are shipped with the self-install packages. They are presented here for the convenience of our subscribers.

You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed in order to view files that are in PDF (Portable Document Format). If you don't have this program, you can download it for free from Adobe's Acrobat Reader download site.

Below are links to download the previous DSL QuickStart Guides for customer self-installation of SNET DSL service. One guide is for the installation that includes the Efficient Networks 4060 USB DSL modem and the other is for the installation that includes the Efficient Networks 5260 DSL modem.

These guides are identical to those that are shipped to DSL self-install customers with their installation packages prior to February 2001. If you already have your QuickStart Guide, there is no need to download either of these documents.

Customers who have had DSL service installed by a technician may find these documents useful, particularly for the descriptions of installing a network card and PPPoE software. However, the guides are specifically written for self-installation customers.
