The following will guide you through the update for the Efficient SpeedStream 5360 120-5360-502 (060-5360-023) firmware. This firmware update resolves different issues due to incompatibility with certain settings in Windows operating systems and older Macintosh systems.

Note: Before you proceed with the upgrade, please check the part number by following the instructions below.

1. The box that the modem is packed in will have the part number listed as 120-5360-520.
2. On the modem chassis (the bottom of the modem), the following part number is displayed: 060-5360-023.

If your Efficient SpeedStream 5360 modem has the same numbers as those above, you should proceed with this upgrade.

Preparing to Upgrade

1. Download the 5360 firmware upgrade file here, titled "5360_upgrade."
2. Close all applications.
3. Connect the 5360 directly to your PC.
4. Turn on and fully boot the modem.
5. If you are using a 10 Base-T connection, quickly turn the modem off and then on again.

Upgrade Process

1. Double-click on the file you just downloaded (5360_upgrade).





2. In the window that appears, click the Download Firmware button.



3. You will be provided with a status indicator of the upgrade's progression.



4. You will be informed when the download is complete. Click OK.



5. A dialog will appear saying that the firmware is currently up to date. You should click OK to close the program. The upgrade is complete.
